Central Florida Bridal Association

CFBA Logo Med
We recently joined the Central Florida Bridal Association. What is the CFBA? The CFBA is a group of Central Florida wedding professionals who
are committed to the highest level of service, quality, and professionalism in the Orlando wedding industry. It holds it's members to a strict code of ethics. Unity Event Videography is proud to have been selected as a member.

The CFBA sponsors two bridal shows every year. The next bridal show is scheduled for August 15, 2010 at the Rosen Centre in Orlando. If you are getting ready to start planning your wedding, you really should stop by this bridal show to meet some of Orlando's best vendors! And of course Unity Event Videography will be there. The really great thing about the CFBA bridal show is that all the proceeds benefit Brides Against Breast Cancer.

Check out the CFBA website to see a list of all the wonderful wedding vendors!

We have moved.... to High Definition!

8G7U7B57UVT3

We are proud to announce that ALL of our wedding videography packages will now be shot and edited in High Definition. What does this mean for you? Well for starters your wedding video will look FANTASTIC! These new cameras really capture so much more detail and color. Your wedding video will be delivered on a standard definition DVD with wide screen formating. Wide screen formating is also referred to as 16X9. Basically this means it will fill the screen and look "right" on your new LCD television. And if you have a Blu-ray DVD player we can offer your wedding video on Blu-ray as an upgrade.

The best thing about this is that we will NOT be raising our prices. We are going to offer High Definition wedding videography packages at NO additional costs.

For the bride who is thinking about NOT getting video

Remember last summer there was that youtube sensation “JK Wedding Entrance Dance? “ It was that cool dance routine that the bridal party performed as they made their entrance. Here are some pictures from it to help you remember.

JK Entrance 01

Know what’s missing? The music. The reactions of the guests watching. And how about the choreography that everyone spent so much time practicing.

Now watch the video.

Ok, so the quality of the video is questionable but the content is awesome. This is not an argument against photography. I think photography is important and should be apart of every wedding. But I think video should be given the same consideration.

A good photograph captures a moment forever. Video allows you to really experience that moment. Hear the emotion in the voice as vows are being spoken. See how beautifully the bride’s dress flows as she walks down the isle. You get the idea.

So as you plan your wedding, give some thought to how you want to remember it.

Media Festival Judge

I was recently invited to be a judge for the Orange County Student Media Festival. The winners go on to participate in FAME. I got to judge the instructional video category for 6-8 grade. Wow! I was really impressed. These kids are very talented. I wish we had media courses when I was in middle school.

One video really stood out to me. It was a video on how to draw a panda. The young lady sat behind a translucent material to demonstrate the drawing technique. She used some beautiful music and graphics to finish the video.

I felt very honored to be selected as a judge. It's nice to know that our future filmmakers are so creative! Maybe one day they'll be working with me at Unity Event Videography.

Falisa & Clarence

Falisa and Clarence are a wonderful couple who had a beautiful wedding on February 13, 2010. It was a very cold and windy day but the sun broke through the clouds just in time for their lovely outside ceremony at Tanner Hall in Winter Garden Florida. Lake Apopka was the backdrop for the ceremony under the gazebo.

Everyone had a blast at the reception! Lots of dancing thanks to the DJ, Cliff Bell of CRB Entertainment. It was a pleasure to work with Robert Barrington. He is a long time family friend and an excellent photographer.
